The Continuation Program at Elliott is a high school program designated for students who are between the ages of 16 and 18 years. Students are placed into the program by referrals from a Modesto City Schools comprehensive high school. Students are referred due to poor attendance, poor academic progress or a history of discipline problems. A student can graduate from Elliott Continuation with a high school diploma when he/she has earned 200 credits, meets all course requirements, and passes the California High School Exit Examination. Credit is earned through attendance and work produced. On average one credit is earned every 15 days of attendance and academic work completed. Highly motivated students may earn up to 45 credits per semester with prior counselor approval.
